Bautista Family Portraits | Solano County Lifestyle Photographer

Ethan is on Skye duty which freed me up to finally edit pictures and get this blog post up! :)Meet the Bautista's. They were the first friends we made when we arrived in California. I had stumbled upon Kira's blog when we were living in Washington state and was surprised to see that she didn't live too far from where we would be stationed in California. We emailed back and forth and then when we moved out here, Kira took me out to lunch and I second shot a family portrait session with her. We instantly became friends and shared in our love of God and photography. Crazy enough, it's been almost four years since then. Their little boy is now in school and one year ago, their newest addition came into this world. This session was a last minute idea but I'm honored to have taken a few family portraits for them. Both Desmond and Kira are always behind the camera and I'm sure it was nice to take a break from self-timer mode.  They all photographed beautifully and definitely knew how to work it in front of the camera. Thank you guys for helping make this place feel a bit more like home...you will be missed!

Nickelette was one of the first people I met when we first moved to California. She is a beautiful mom of two adorable, fun-spirited girls. I actually took their pictures a few years back and so I was extremely excited when she told me she wanted to take some more. We photographed at Rush Ranch in Suisun (--one of my favorite spots!) They were all natural's in front of the camera which made my job incredibly easy. I hope you love them, Nickelette!

Oh, mannnnn...it's days like today that remind me why I've always loved photographing. I know I've posted about how I'm not pursuing business but this family portrait opportunity came to me and to be completely honest, it re-ignited the passion that I have for portraits. There's just something about the freedom of taking honest, candid pictures without the stresses that a wedding would have. I'm not sure what this means for me as a photographer but it's confirmation that I can never walk away from this love. I hope you enjoy this preview of a sweet, little family stationed here with us! Expect a full post sometime in the near future. :)
